The Employment Pass is the most common type of work authorization in Malaysia, allowing you to work for a period ranging from 1 to 5 years, which is extendable based on the applicant's qualifications. For EP holders already in Malaysia, a release letter may be required, depending on the EP category.
The Visa team will contact you to initiate your application within 1-2 working days after your work profile is created.
The processing time for your in-country EP endorsement takes approximately 3-5 working days.

Permission to Work (PTW) is required prior to working with Agoda. You are required to apply directly at the immigration office, an appointment may be needed.
Note: Please request the immigration document checklist, as each office may have different requirements. The visa team will provide instructions and supporting documents.
If you hold any of these, you have the right-to-work in Malaysia and no immigration support is required from Agoda.

Q1: Do I need to visit the Malaysian embassy during the application process?
A: Once you receive the approval letter, you will have 2 options to apply for entry visa to Malaysia
eVisa - This can be apply online (preferred)
Single Entry Visa - A physical stamp on your passport. You will need to apply at the nearest Malaysia embassy.
Q2: I cannot make a payment for eVisa. What should I do?
A: Please try with a different credit card or check directly with the Live chat on the website. Otherwise, we suggest applying for Single Entry Visa at the Malaysian Embassy.
Q3: I purchased the flight and will be arriving at KLIA2 instead of KLIA1. Where can I get the EP endorsement?
A: If you are arriving at KLIA2
Passport Renewal
Q1: Does Agoda provide a support letter for passport renewals?
A: YES. Some embassies may request for a support letter for passport renewals that are valid for more than 12 months. Please write to visas@agoda.com

Once you arrive in your new country for work, there are a few important steps to take to settle in and get everything in order. Here are the actions required upon arrival in your destination country:
Arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport:
Avoid using the auto-gate facility. Instead, proceed to the normal immigration counter for manual verification.

The processing time for your EP endorsement and iKad will be approximately 3-5 days

In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances upon arrival that necessitates a hospital visit, please refer to the provided list of recommended hospitals. You can utilize the Travel Insurance purchased through the Onboarding Team for assistance. If you need additional support, please reach out to your Onboarding point of contact.
