Visa Process Overview

Upon receiving the signed offer letter, the Agoda visa team will appoint an immigration service provider to initiate the work authorization permit process. The immigration service provider will then reach out to you to proceed with the necessary steps.

Document Preparation: Preparation of application package and degree verification.
Application submission appointment: Submission of the work pass application.
Application review by MOM: Initial review and processing by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). If approved, MOM will issue an In-principal Approval (IPA) letter.
Relocation (if applicable): Travel to Singapore with the IPA letter (2-4 weeks depending on the locations.)
Start of Employment: Attending the medical appointment if applicable and issuance of the Notification Letter (please refer to sample below) . Employee can start work once the Notification Letter is issued.
Biometrics appointment: Collection of fingerprints and photograph for the issuance of the Physical Work Pass (please refer to sample below) (2 weeks depending on the appointment with MOM)

Q1: What if I change my address/contact information/email address?

A: You are required to report any changes to your personal circumstances to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) within 5 days. You may do so with your SingPass account via the EPOL online website: https://www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/services/ep-online

Q2: What if I lose my card?

A: If the card is stolen or lost, you will need to file a police report and apply for a new card. Please also write to visas@agoda.com for assistance.

Q3: Can I apply for a pass for my family to join me in Singapore?

A: Yes, if you meet the minimum criteria to sponsor family members into Singapore. There are Dependent Passes (DP) for married spouse and children.

If you need DP for your spouse and/or children, please write to visas@agoda.com for assistance.
If you have a newborn joining your family, (first off – Congratulations!) - please write to visas@agoda.com for assistance.
There is also a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) for biological parents, stepchildren, handicapped Dependents and Common Law Partners. You can find out more here: https://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permits/long-term-visit-pass

Q4: I would like to apply for Permanent Residence (PR) in Singapore. How can I do this?

A: We would suggest applying for PR in Singapore after at least 1 year of living in the country to show your commitment to remaining as a long-term resident. If you are interested, you may write to visas@agoda.com for assistance.

Q5: After I arrived in Singapore, how long should I stay in the country before I can fly out?

A: Upon arriving in Singapore, you should stay in the country until your Employment Pass is issued, which is approximately 2 weeks upon arrival (depending on when your biometric appointment is booked).

Preparing Documents for Your Visa Application

Copy of your university diploma/degree certificates: A copy of the actual degree certificate must be provided; transcripts alone may not be accepted by the Ministry of Manpower ("MOM");
Passport: Copy of your passport ID page and any amendments (the passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Singapore).
Resume/CV: Detailed resume/CV.

Note:

All documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation. Original documents may be required for translation purposes, and we will contact you once we review the documents submitted.
All supporting documents must be clear, legible, not cut off at the sides or with blurred text. Facial features on the photographs must be clearly visible to facilitate identification as required by MOM.

1. Document Submission: Provide requested documents to Fragomen upon arrival in Singapore for the issuance of the Notification Letter, allowing you to work lawfully.1. Biometrics Appointment: Attend a biometrics appointment at the Employment Pass Services Centre (EPSC) to register your details and receive your physical ID card.

- The appointment takes around 30 minutes.
- Enables travel using automated gates at Changi Airport.

1. SingPass App: Download the SingPass app for access to government records, health appointments, tax filings, and more.

You may use this digital IC for selected services, however, best practice is for you to have your Singapore work pass with you at all times.

Post Arrival Procedure

Open local bank account

Please open local bank account, and upload your bank details to Workday as soon as possible to avoid any delay on your payroll. Click here for more see requirements for opening bank in Singapore and check out the recommended bank.

Feeling Unwell After Your Trip?

In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances upon arrival that necessitates a hospital visit, please refer to the provided list of recommended hospitals. You can utilize the Travel Insurance purchased through the Onboarding Team for assistance. If you need additional support, please reach out to your Onboarding point of contact.

Public hospitals typically have longer waited times compared to private hospitals, but private hospitals are more expensive than public ones. However, you can reduce the cost by visiting a general practitioner (GP) or a government clinic to obtain a referral letter for specialized treatment at the hospital.

Note: Please note that all hospitals listed above are recommended for visits before your start date. After you start date, please check the partner hospitals list with your selected medical insurance plan for more hospitals option.
